Goodbye college, Hello UNIVERSITY!

So I'm looking through the course offerings for the coming semester at USFQ, and I had to wipe the drool from my chin as I slobbered over the choices. Seriously, the list of courses was a mile long with some really interesting stuff.

My top choices are:
- Tropical Rainforest Ecology
- Ecology and Conservation of the Galapagos
- Volcanology
- Medicinal Plants
- Themes in Latin American politics
- Ecuadorian Politics and Thought
- Andean Anthropology
- Human Ecology

There are some incredible choices to fulfill my art requirement, like:
- 3D Glass Studio
- Ceramics
- Metal and Stone Studio
- Fabric Studio
- Photography
- Jewelry Studio

AND, students can sign up for limitless sports/rec classes, so I'm considering Yoga, Tennis, Table Tennis (niiiiice), and maybe Aerobics. Hah!

I'll also be taking an "Espanol para Extranjeros" (Spanish for Foreigners) class, like Advanced Conversation or Advanced Spanish.

I'M SO EXCITED! I've preliminarily registered online for several of the above things, and then I can drop/add classes for the first week or two of the semester, once I meet profs/talk to other students/etc.

¡A Ecuador!

In anticipation of the coming semester I will spend in Ecuador, I have archived my "Raji and Me" blog to www.rajiandme.blogspot.com and opened up this URL for a new blog detailing new adventures!

I leave January 3 for Quito, where I will live with an Ecuadorian family and attend school at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ). While home base will be Ecuador's capital city, I will be making trips to the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon Rainforest. I will return home May 17-- just in time for my sister's wedding on May 25!

Thanks in advance for reading.
