Unfortunate news.
Get this. We were tied 2-2 when the final whistle blew at the end of the second half. This meant we were going to penalty kicks. Three shots for each team. Six girls up, six goals scored (including one by yours truly). Then it became sudden-death penalty kicks. Their girl scored. Then it was our girl´s turn. And. Their goalie saved it. And just like that, game over. They won.
Dang, it was a beastly game. To come down to PKs like that... d-dang. I´m pretty disappointed.
Saturday morning, our team is playing in the finals of the university´s ¨Olympic¨games, against the same team. Revenge, anyone? I think so. Unfortunately I may not be able to go because I¨m going to my host family´s farm, like a 1.5 hours away, and I think we´re leaving early Saturday morning. But maybe I¨ll convince them to come to the game and we´ll leave from there.
UPDATE:
Didn't get to go to the game - we left early Saturday morning at about 7:30 am for the farm. The farm was a great time and I'm really glad I got to go. (Hopefully a post about that soon.) Haven't heard yet if we won the game or not!

BUMMER!
So like earlier this year I became aware that there was an intramural soccer leage going on without me so I frantically tried to join a team at the very end of the season. So I tried to join Ralph/AJ/Josh's team and somehow convinced the captain to let me play (They had never won a game anyways). The first game I got a chance to play in we played the football team and they were so intense, like yelling and cahnting and chasing us while screaming and pushing people everywhere. So we were getting pwned because everyone was intimidated by their intesnity. ANd I was like, "coach, yoh man let me play. THese guys suck ass Im going to pwn them. They dont even know how to play soccer, their just brutes". Needless to say the moment I got in there I got an assist to tie it up. WIth 3 minutes left in the game I pounded the winning goal past their keeper and was like "where's the intensity now? I guess your all out of steam after I pwned your ass".
It was such a good way to come back to soccer after 4 years of not playing. Me you and sebs are gonna have a strong team next year.
